Recently I posted about my dog who is older and slowing down, her name is Casey. She’s actually the dog my family got when I was 14, so she’s really my parents. This, is an 9 week old labradoodle and may indeed be, my first dog. Today, I confirmed we’d be bringing home this Labradoodle. She’s 9 weeks old and will be coming on March 31st. We hope to name her Targa.
The lighting was all kinds of bad, and several puppies had attached their teeth to various parts of my clothing, so my photos are not great other than the first.
I will still visit Casey as much as I can. I hope that Casey will accept our new puppy when they meet.
Lastly, there seems to be a lot of heartbreak on here when it comes to dogs recently. Everyone should know, I’m always here if they need anything. Dog related or otherwise.

The overlap strategy is a solid one. I hope you can enjoy your remaining time with Casey.
You say that adorable little pup “may be” your first dog; still thinking about it, or being precautionary while the process is still going?

Nice, It’s good to hear a good dog story after the last couple of days.
My heart goes out to everyone who has lost a greatly loved member of the family, because that’s what they are, they are as much members of the family as anyone else.

Good luck with your new puppy!
Be consistent with the rules you give the puppy, and don’t let things slide. You have to be firm at first, so your life will be easier in the future.
Also if you got the puppy a bed, see if you can take it apart. If you can take it apart ( separate cushions from cover). Wrap the cushion(s) in trash bags. That way when the puppy has an accident you don’t have to wash the foam and cover, just the cover.

We're putting a deposit on her tonight, but I don't want to jinx anything.

Aww, that pup is adorable! Did you take that pic? Because if so, it seems like (s)
he’s picking you. If you didn’t, (s)he’s still picking you!

She 100% picked us. All the puppies clambered for attention, but she is the only one who stayed interested in us. Calm and playful at the same time.
The lighting was bad, they had a red heat lamp so it kinda fucked with my pics, but this is her again.
I think we have a name, Targa, but again, I don’t want to announce anything until she’s home.

My initial thought when I first saw the pic was Lagonda, Targa is great though. That’s how both Lucy and Estelle were, they each picked Mrs. Humpkins and myself, respectively. Well, tentatively, congrats. Hope it works out.

Congratulations!!
I just found out today that the puppy I was trying to adopt went to another home, so I’m back at square one. I think I’m going to start applying to multiple places at once, since they move so slowly.

We looked at adoption, but it just seems like it’s all pitbulls all day long.
Not my thing

Yup, pit bulls and chihuahuas are by far the most common breeds. Decent amount of huskies these days, too, because of Game of Thrones, but I don’t think you’d like one of those (lots of work, not very cuddly/people-oriented).

I’ve always loved huskies. But way to much work
